Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail stressed women’s equal representation and involvement in all areas on Tuesday.
Jaffar Khan said this at an International Women’s Day seminar.
Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund organised it.
The governor stressed that economic empowerment of women was crucial to social empowerment. He advocated for a society where every woman had dignity, respect, and equal rights.
He stressed that women were vital to agriculture, cattle, and home management.
“Despite their capabilities and hard work, women in Balochistan face significant barriers due to a lack of basic facilities and opportunities,” he said.
Women are the community’s backbone, he said. Providing rights and opportunity for them is a national obligation, he said.
The governor praised the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund and other organisations for organising a women’s empowerment workshop. He advocated collaboration to boost economic growth and social change in the nation and province.
