Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed’s ‘Love Guru’ to bring laughter and love this Eid

Pakistani cinema icons Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed are set to captivate audiences once again in the upcoming romantic comedy Love Guru, scheduled for release on Eid al-Azha, June 6, 2025. The film, which was written by Vasay Chaudhry and directed by Nadeem Baig, promises a fusion of romance, humour, and emotional depth.

The narrative follows Saeed’s character, a self-proclaimed “love guru,” who assists couples in navigating their romantic dilemmas. His life takes an unexpected turn when he is hired to intervene in the arranged marriage of Sophia Khan, portrayed by Mahira Khan, an architect based in London. As he becomes entangled in Sophia’s life, professional boundaries blur, leading to comedic and heartfelt situations.

The film features a distinguished ensemble cast, comprising Sohai Ali Abro, Ramsha Khan, Mira Sethi, Javed Sheikh, and Momina Iqbal. Shot across picturesque locations in the UK and Pakistan, the cinematography captures both the charm of London streets and the vibrant hues of Pakistani wedding festivities.

The trailer showcases a series of events where Saeed’s character becomes increasingly involved in Sophia’s life, leading to moments of introspection and emotional vulnerability. The chemistry between Khan and Saeed is palpable, with scenes ranging from lighthearted banter to poignant exchanges, underscored by a haunting soundtrack.

Love Guru is certain to become a holiday favourite this Eid, produced by Salman Iqbal, Humayun Saeed, Shahzad Nasib, and Jerjees Seja under the auspices of Salman Iqbal Films, ARY Films, and Six Sigma Plus.
