Imran Khan, founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), is allegedly often requesting the assistance of the army chief through letters, according to Defence Minister Khawaja Asif.
During an interview, Asif revealed that the army leader is presently in the UK and is the target of a social media misinformation effort.
“Some elements are maligning him now, but they once called an army chief a fatherly figure,” he said, alluding to PTI’s previous position.
In addition, Asif claimed that the PTI was planning to install Faiz Hameed as army chief in order to subjugate the military to the party. Furthermore, he stated that PTI was now experiencing the repercussions for their role in planning violence on May 9, 2023, and November 24, 2024.
