Renowned Indian lyricist Javed Akhtar recently expressed his admiration for Pakistani singer Moazzam Ali Khan after listening to his rendition of the song “Yeh Nain Deray Deray” on YouTube. Using his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Akhtar praised Khan’s performance and extended an invitation for him to sing for his work. “Could he please contact me? I will be thankful if he sings a few songs for us,” Akhtar posted.
Moazzam Ali Khan, who is not only a singer but also an actor and voiceover artist, was deeply moved by the kind words. Taking to social media, he shared his gratitude for the legendary lyricist’s encouragement, calling it “an honor beyond words” to receive such acknowledgment. Khan also made sure to thank his fans for their consistent love and support.
Khan has showcased his acting talent in popular dramas such as Meri Shehzadi and Ishq-e-Laa. Interestingly, he is also the great-grandson of Liaquat Ali Khan, Pakistan’s first prime minister, a fact he revealed during a podcast.
