In order to guarantee public safety among security issues, authorities have placed a partial curfew on many roads across Upper and Lower South Waziristan.
A notice sent by Tank Deputy Commissioner states that the Beni Zai Ragzai to Jandola, Tanai, and Sarokai routes in Upper South Waziristan will be under curfew imposed. Furthermore closed from Wana Zalai Camp during the curfew period would be Cadet College Road.
According to the official alert, Monday, March 17, 2025 (from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm) will have a total ban on travel under. Roads going to Kod Qila, Manzai, Khargai, Ahmed Wam, and Jandola will be closed to all sorts of traffic during this period.
To prevent any annoyance or security hazards, authorities have advised the people to comply with security officers and rigorously follow the curfew limits.
Late Friday night, authorities repelled two terrorist strikes on Dadiwala and Pezu police stations in Lakki Marwat area. Officials said that although well armed terrorists attacked both stations, police responded with full force and drove the attackers to leave. In neither event were any casualties recorded.
On Landi Wah Road likewise in Lakki Marwat, an IED detonation separately aimed at a police car. In the attack the driver and a constable suffered minor injuries. The retaliatory action claimed one attacker dead. Police started a hunt for the other attackers.
In other bloodshed, on Saturday terrorists simultaneously attacked three security forts in Tank area and several police stations. Reports state that targets of terrorists included Kot Murtaza Post, FC Fort Sur Kamar, FC Fort Murtaza, and Gomal police station. The local people started to fear at the great gunshots and explosions.
