Gold prices surge by Rs1,000 in Pakistan

The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association said that 24-karat gold in Pakistan increased in price by Rs1,000 per tola, hitting Rs304,200 on Tuesday. Ten grammes of 24-karat gold went up in price by Rs857 to Rs260,802, and ten grammes of 22-karat gold went up in price by Rs794 to Rs239,077.

At the same time, silver prices were flat, with a tola of silver costing Rs3,350 and 10 grammes weighing in at Rs2,872. On the global market, the price of gold rose $10, reaching $2,910/oz, while the price of silver remained steady at $32.45/oz.

Buyers and investors are being affected by the steady increase in gold prices, which is a sign of rising demand on a worldwide and local scale.
