Feroze Khan criticized for unpunctuality, sparks media vs. fans debate

After actor Feroze Khan was more than two hours late to a press conference, leaving the media waiting, journalist Ambreen Fatima publicly criticized him. In a video that Ambreen uploaded, she confronts the actor, saying that the press was told to be on time and that Feroze was not.

The actor’s comment that he was late due to insufficient hot water elicited laughter from the audience. Feroze went on to say that fans, not the media, are the ones who make celebrities famous, which sparked a larger discussion over the relative importance of the two groups.

Ambreen clarified afterwards, stressing that the event was about professionalism and not excuses, whereas Feroze’s response sparked debate on social media. Particularly when members of the media are involved, she emphasized the need to be on time and slammed Feroze for trying to manipulate the story via an Instagram Story clip.

Humaima Malik, Feroze’s sister and fellow actor, rallied to his support, saying that admirers are what really drive celebrities to success. However, a large number of internet users contended that celebrities would not be able to amass such a massive fan following if it weren’t for the media. Some thought Feroze might have gracefully ended the situation with a simple, heartfelt apology.

This incident has sparked a discussion on the interconnected nature of the media and celebrities, and it highlights the significance of treating each other with respect and professionalism.
