At the LEAP 2025 tech conference in Riyadh, Pakistan, an education-focused fintech firm called EduFi won the Rocket Fuel Pitch Competition. This was a historic moment for the company. Winning first place and a $250,000 award, EduFi competed against more than 2,000 businesses.
During the four days of the event, which took place at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, entrepreneurs from all over the world showcased their creative ideas to influential investors and business figures. EduFi’s method of credit vetting and directly paying tuition costs for authorized students impressed. The company is known for making student loans easier to understand and apply for. Borrowers make monthly payments while they are in school.
This triumph was presided over by Aleena Nadeem, a graduate of MIT and founder of EduFi. She remains an inspiration thanks to her unwavering commitment to addressing educational difficulties; in 2024, she was named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Asia list.
