According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), heavy rain will fall over Punjab beginning on February 19th, as a weather system is expected to arrive on February 18th. Expect rains in the middle of the week along with temperatures of 10–24°C in Lahore, which is presently experiencing dry and mild weather.
Lows of 8–11 degrees Celsius are also on the horizon for other cities, including Faisalabad and Multan. Daytime highs in Dera Ghazi Khan and Multan might reach 10°C, while southern Punjab areas like Bahawalpur can see humidity levels of 94%.
It is worth mentioning that northern Pakistan has already experienced significant rainfall and snowfall. Temperatures in some areas of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa dropped to -4°C, and heavy snowfall was reported in regions such as Kalam, Swat, and Malam Jabba.
Because of the potential impact on visibility and traffic, those living in the impacted areas should brace themselves for chilly, rainy weather in the days ahead.
