At the Solar Pakistan 2025 exhibition, held from February 21 to 23 at Lahore’s Expo Centre, 148 Chinese enterprises presented their latest innovations in solar technology. This event, recognized as the region’s largest solar exhibition, featured 350 leading companies from over 10 countries, highlighting Pakistan’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
Prominent Chinese companies, including Livoltek and Trina Solar, unveiled cutting-edge products designed to meet Pakistan’s growing energy needs. Livoltek introduced smart solar energy solutions, emphasizing intelligent energy management systems.
Trina Solar announced plans to supply 200 megawatts of solar energy through their advanced Vertex N modules, marking a significant contribution to Pakistan’s renewable energy infrastructure.
The exhibition served as a platform for fostering Sino-Pak energy collaborations, building upon a history of successful partnerships in the renewable sector. Notably, in 2017, China and Pakistan launched their first Chinese-funded wind power project in Sindh, featuring 33 wind turbines from Mingyang Smart Energy.
Pakistan has emerged as a significant market for Chinese photovoltaic products, becoming the second-largest destination for Chinese solar module exports after Europe in the first half of 2024. This trend reflects Pakistan’s strategic focus on diversifying its energy mix and reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
The Solar Pakistan 2025 exhibition not only showcased technological advancements but also reinforced the strong energy ties between China and Pakistan, paving the way for future collaborations in the renewable energy sector.
