Canal Road’s security guard incident causes fury.

At Dharampura Underpass, armed personnel of a private security company allegedly fired bullets on an automobile rider, assaulted him and left a vehicle and other weapons on the site.

On social media, a video clip of the event went viral showing armed security personnel escorting a luxury vehicle obviously breaking the law and flaunting guns.

According to the tape, the traffic slowed down at the underpass when security personnel got into furious disputes with a road user.

More than a dozen sophisticated weapon-carrying shooters left from the double-cabin cars, hurried to the automobile rider and started fighting with him. One of the armed men fired rounds aiming at the car rider. One bullet struck and punctured his vehicle’s body.

At this, the other drivers supported the young vehicle rider by denouncing the severe aggression conduct of the attackers. Later revealed as Muhammad Imran on social media, the young man dared to go forward from his automobile and outran the guard firing a shot.

The video revealed the other armed guys arrived to assist their partner, pummeled the young vehicle rider in public, saved the guard, and left the area.

But when they saw the Dolphin Police arriving at the scene and circumstances got difficult for them, they decided to leave one of their vehicles and some firearms on the spot/road owing to traffic jam they wanted to avoid.

According to a Lahore police spokesman, the Dolphin police arrived at the spot upon notice and grabbed the abandoned car and the guns of the escaping security guards. The suspects, though, were nowhere to find.

Noticing the occurrence, he said, Lahore Operations DIG Faisal Kamran issued an order under the Anti-Terrorism Act to file a complaint against the security officers and the unidentified individual they were escorting. With the Safe City cameras guiding them, he said a police squad had been assembled to track and apprehend the attackers.

The young man attacked also made his debut on social media and presented himself as Muhammad Imran, a professional merchant. He said that he overcame the armed guard when he tried to shoot a second time.
