In light of rising tensions between Pakistan and India, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has decided to postpone several exams originally scheduled for today. The affected exams include the Intermediate Part II Islamiyat (elective) and Principles of Accounting theory papers, as well as the Computer Science practical exam for Matriculation students.
A spokesperson for BISE Lahore confirmed that the exams were delayed due to security concerns following the recent military confrontations between the two nations. The board has assured students that a revised schedule for the exams will be released soon.
This decision comes as military operations escalate along the Line of Control after Indian airstrikes on multiple Pakistani locations. In retaliation, Pakistan’s military successfully downed five Indian aircraft and one drone in defense of its airspace. Authorities have advised students and the general public to remain alert to further updates as the situation continues to unfold.
Meanwhile, the British Council Pakistan has confirmed that all exams scheduled for today will proceed as originally planned, despite the ongoing tensions. In a statement on its official Facebook page, the council reassured students by saying, “All exams scheduled for today will continue as planned,” and encouraged students to reach out to their schools or customer service for any further inquiries.
