Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb Ahmed, the official spokesperson for the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), has recently become the most searched individual in Pakistan, according to Google Trends data. This surge in interest coincides with heightened military tensions between Pakistan and India.
On May 12, 2025, search interest in “Aurangzeb” peaked at 2:00 AM, reaching the highest point recorded during the past week. The trend has maintained elevated levels since then, indicating sustained public engagement and interest in the PAF spokesperson.
Because of his calm manner and understated humour during press briefings, Aurangzeb Ahmed has become more well-liked by the Pakistani public, especially the younger generation. The PAF carried out the most attacks against Indian Air Force (IAF) airspace in a single mission since the 1971 conflict, according to Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb Ahmed during a news briefing.
He emphasised that the strikes were executed carefully and deliberately to avoid civilian infrastructure. He added that several Indian drones targeting civilian areas were caught by Pakistan’s military radar and jammer devices.
