Renowned Pakistani actress Saba Qamar has revealed that she rejected an opportunity to star alongside Deepika Padukone in the Bollywood film ‘Love Aaj Kal’.
In a recent interview, Saba Qamar shared that she had received several offers from Bollywood before accepting her role in ‘Hindi Medium’. Among these were opportunities in ‘Delhi 6’, ‘Love Aaj Kal’, and ‘Cocktail’.
“I even auditioned for ‘Delhi 6’, but my mother did not approve, so I turned it down,” Saba Qamar explained.
She admitted that she declined ‘Love Aaj Kal’ because she felt that with Deepika Padukone in the lead role, she might not receive as much attention.
“After the film was released, I watched it with my friends and realized I had made a significant mistake by rejecting it,” she added.
Saba Qamar gained recognition for her role in ‘Hindi Medium’, where she starred alongside the late Irfan Khan as his wife.
