EU wants to strengthen their business relations with Pakistan.

On Tuesday, EU Ambassador Dr. Riina Kionka said European firms are considering Pakistan as a commercial destination and exploring new economic partnerships.

Before the May 14-15 Islamabad Business Forum, the envoy stated. The EU, its member states, and Pakistan support this major event to promote discussion, relationships, and business prospects in both regions.

The forum will be opened by Premier Sharif.

According to EU Ambassador Dr. Riina Kionka, European companies are considering Pakistan for business. This meeting helps European and Pakistani businesses collaborate, deepen trade, and seek new economic partnerships, according to the envoy.

Pakistan may profit from global gateway, said the EU envoy.

Envoy claims milestone May Pakistan Business Forum

The EU is the world’s largest market and Pakistan’s biggest export market, according to the EU embassy. EU foreign direct investment accounts for 42% of global outbound investment.

Pakistan provides vast commercial prospects with a rapidly rising market of over 240 million people, competitive labor prices, strategic geographical access to Central and South Asia, and preferential EU trade access.

High-level policymakers like the prime minister, minister of finance, and minister of commerce, business leaders and CEOs from Pakistan and Europe, financial institutions like the European Investment Bank, investors, and other key stakeholders will attend the EU-Pakistan Business Forum to improve economic cooperation.

The two-day Business Forum will exhibit Pakistan’s potential, innovation, and best practices in agribusiness, energy and renewables, green logistics, pharmaceuticals, IT, and textiles.

The forum will encourage government-private sector dialogue to strengthen regulation, trade, and sustainable business practices. EU’s Global Gateway strategy, its largest investment program outside the EU, will be presented during the event to leverage €300 billion in global investments until 2027.

Besides business-to-business and business-to-government meetings, interesting conversations, and dedicated exhibitions, the event will establish the EU-Pakistan Business Network, which will combine 300+ European companies in Pakistan.
