Karachi is set to host the 35th National Games from May 1 to 9, 2025, marking the event’s return to the city after an 18-year gap. The announcement was made by Sindh Sports Minister Sardar Muhammad Baksh Mahar during a recent meeting with sports officials.

- Venues: 21 locations across Karachi

- Participants: Approximately 10,000 male and female athletes and officials
Participating Teams:
- Provincial Teams: Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan
- Departmental Teams: Pakistan Army, Air Force, Navy, Wapda, Railways, Police, and the Higher Education Commission
Ceremonies:
- Opening and Closing Ceremonies Venue: Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium
- Torch Relay Inauguration: To be led by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah
The Sindh government has finalized all arrangements for the games, ensuring enhanced security measures, medical facilities, and comprehensive media coverage. This event not only aims to promote sports at the national level but also aspires to elevate Sindh’s athletes to international standards.
