No Pakistani player in ICC Champions Trophy team of the tournament

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the Team of the Tournament for the 2025 Champions Trophy, with no Pakistani players making the cut. The squad is dominated by cricketers from India and New Zealand, reflecting their strong performances in the tournament.

Rachin Ravindra from New Zealand was named Player of the Tournament for his outstanding batting, while India’s Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul were also included for their consistent contributions. New Zealand’s Kane Williamson and India’s Hardik Pandya were among the key middle-order players selected.

In the bowling department, India’s Mohammed Shami and Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan earned spots alongside New Zealand’s Matt Henry and Afghanistan’s Mujeeb Ur Rahman. Mitchell Santner was chosen as captain, with Shubman Gill listed as the 12th man.

Pakistan’s exclusion from the squad comes after a disappointing campaign, where the team failed to progress beyond the group stages. This omission has sparked discussions about the team’s performance and future improvements.
