Vicky Kaushal’s outstanding performance in the recently released historical film Chhaava has garnered accolades from Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt. Alia took to Instagram to share her praise, praising Vicky’s performance as the Maratha monarch Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj as “unforgettable.” She spoke highly of director Laxman Utekar and the rest of the crew, calling the picture a triumph.

The film depicts the Maratha-Mughal conflicts in the late 17th century, when Sambhaji leads the Marathas in their fights against Emperor Aurangzeb’s armies after Shivaji’s death. Vicky’s performance as Sambhaji has received acclaim for her strong acting. Alia praised Rashmika Mandanna’s emotive performance and Akshaye Khanna’s commanding portrayal as Aurangzeb, both of which contributed to the film’s impact.
Chhaava is a cinematic accomplishment, according to Katrina Kaif, Vicky’s wife, who also praised Utekar’s storytelling. Her admiration for Vicky’s extraordinary talent at embodying his roles was evident as she gushed over the last forty minutes.
The visually stunning film, which lavishly celebrates Maratha history, is the brainchild of director and producer Dinesh Vijan. The rising admiration for the film was further heightened when Alia and Katrina both highlighted its potential as a cinematic experience.
