Government workers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) will get their paychecks and pensions no later than February 28, just in time for Ramadan 2025, according to the state government.
Taking into account the official holidays on March 1 and 2, the decision was made to ensure timely payment of money, according to a notification from the KP Finance Department. Before the holy month starts, workers will be able to view their paychecks.
Sighting the Ramadan Moon
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), there is a “good chance” that the moon will be visible on March 1, 2025, during Ramadan 1446 AH. If everything goes according to plan, Sunday, March 2, will mark the beginning of the fast.
Official confirmation of the sighting of the Ramadan-ul-Mubarak moon will be made during a meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee in Peshawar on February 28.
