COAS Asim Munir briefed on UK Army’s modernization efforts.

While officially visiting the UK, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir was apprised of the British Army’s plans for modernization and its Deep Recce Strike Brigade.

War Chief of Staff (CGS) General Roland Walker invited General Munir to tour Warminster and Larkhill Garrisons, as reported by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). Among the cutting-edge innovations in contemporary warfare displayed by the British Army were unmanned systems and artificial intelligence (AI).

The head of army was honored with a ceremonial guard of honor on February 19 during his visit.

Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir, will attend the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst for the seventh annual Regional Stabilization Conference. His keynote speech, “The Emerging World Order and Pakistan’s Future Outlook,” will be presented by Munir.

Pakistani and British military officials, civilian and political leaders, and representatives from prominent think tanks all come together at the yearly conference to discuss military matters and build partnerships.The Stand of the Pakistani Army Against Extremism
Meanwhile, General Asim Munir has reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s resolve to eradicate extremist dangers. During his address to students at GHQ, Rawalpindi, he stressed that Pakistan will not be subjected to the ideology of Fitna al-Khawarij by the armed forces.

He said, “The Pakistan Army is fighting miscreants and Khawarij elements” and went on to say that Islam has made it very plain what it thinks of anyone who misunderstands its principles.

Pakistan is reiterating its resolve to fortify international military ties and address changing security challenges through General Munir’s participation in the Sandhurst conference and visit to the United Kingdom.
