7th Combaxx Asian Taekwondo Championship begins in Pakistan

More than 400 participants from 20 countries have arrived in Islamabad for the 7th Combaxx Asian Open Taekwondo Championship. This dynamic event highlights Pakistan’s taekwondo progress and ability to host international athletic championships.

Prof. Kyu Seok Lee, President of the Asian Taekwondo Union (ATU), and Omar Saeed, CEO of Pakistan Taekwondo Federation, attended the grand inauguration event. Brig. Ghazanfar Ali Tarrar from Rangers Islamabad and ambassadors from South Korea and Kazakhstan, H.E. Park Ki Jun and H.E. Yerzhan Kistafin, were also present.

The Pakistani national taekwondo team’s amazing performance stunned the crowd and showcased the nation’s burgeoning talent. Another ceremony element featured an uplifting film tribute to the championship’s history, participant oath-taking, and a Combaxx title sponsor promotion.

The event honoured taekwondo’s growing pioneers. Pakistani, Korean, Uzbek, and Saudi officials became Kyorugi Vice Chairpersons, and Lt. Col. (R) Raja Wasim Ahmed got plaques.

A trophy unveiling and memento presentations ended the event, launching the tournament. Pakistan’s sporting prominence and cultural interchange and goodwill among participating nations benefit from this international competition.
