Future Fest 2025 at the Expo Centre Lahore from January 24-26 awarded Pakistan’s top tech innovators the NICAT Innovation Awards. The awards, organised with the National Incubation Centre for Aerospace Technologies (NICAT), honoured pioneering invention, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

A jury of industry veterans, including Muhammad Umar of Relymert and Mehroz Azam of EjadLabs, chose winners from over 450 candidates. Technologists Waleed Najam (Rankistan), Rana Umar Majeed (Datics AI), Vikram Kumar (SharkLabs), and Yasir Shaukat (Techleadz) were honoured.

Akhuwat founder Dr. Amjad Saqib and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Dr. Shafqat Ayaz attended. Both stressed tech innovation’s role in Pakistan’s development and NICAT’s support of entrepreneurs through resources, mentorship, and industry connections.

Future Fest also highlighted breakthroughs in AI, e-commerce, blockchain, health, and finance, underlining its commitment to a healthy innovation environment. The winners’ significant work showed Pakistan’s global IT potential, organisers said.

The festival’s success shows Pakistan’s tech scene’s growth and key players’ commitment to talent and innovation.
