Ushna Shah stood up against online bullying after a woman was mocked for crying at a Diljit Dosanjh concert in Jaipur. Shah expressed her support on X (formerly Twitter), emphasizing that some people attend concerts to emotionally connect with the music, not just to capture content for social media. She clarified that while she also records concert videos, the woman’s emotional reaction to the concert was meaningful and should not be ridiculed.
Shah’s stance echoed Dosanjh’s own support for the fan during a concert in Hyderabad, where he praised emotional expression and defended the woman. He shared a video stating, “Music is an emotion,” and told the audience, “Only those who have emotions can cry,” adding that such women should be respected, as they are independent and worthy of admiration.
