Unrest Subsides in Iran, Situation Fully Under Control Nationwide

Tehran (Monitoring Desk): The Iranian government has claimed that the wave of violent protests that had continued over the past two weeks has significantly subsided, while the law and order situation across the country has remained fully under the control of security institutions during the last 24 hours.

Speaking to Western media, the Iranian foreign minister said that violent demonstrations have come to a halt in Tehran and other major cities, and that conditions are gradually returning to normal.

He added that daily life is being restored in large and small cities alike, traffic has returned to normal, marketplaces have reopened, and commercial activity has resumed, while security forces continue to maintain strict vigilance over the situation.
