New York (Monitoring Desk)At a meeting of the United Nations Security Council in New York, Russia and China strongly criticized the United States and rejected the use of force in matters related to Iran. Addressing the Council, the Russian representative described the session as a “circus,” stating that it should have focused on promoting global peace rather than interfering in Iran’s internal affairs. He said that certain external powers are deliberately fueling the situation inside Iran.
The Russian envoy emphasized that Iran has already declared it does not seek escalation or confrontation, but any act of aggression would be met with a strong response. He added that protecting citizens and property is the top priority of the Iranian government, while US statements encouraging the Iranian public to seize state institutions are a clear violation of national sovereignty.
According to him, large numbers of people are present on the streets in support of Iran’s Supreme Leader and government, and any action by the United States could push the entire region toward greater instability and crisis. The Russian representative also offered cooperation for a peaceful resolution of the issues.
