Trump Threatens Import Tariffs on Denmark

Washington (Monitoring Desk): U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened to impose import tariffs on countries opposing potential American control over Greenland. According to Trump, a 10% import tariff will be implemented on Denmark and its European allies starting next month, increasing to 25% in June.

Trump stated on his social media platform, Truth Social, that this move is part of a pressure strategy to acquire Greenland. He added that the U.S. has long provided trade benefits and subsidies to Denmark and European countries, but never received adequate compensation in return. The President emphasized that it is now time for Denmark to make amends, citing concerns over global peace and security.
