Washington (Monitoring Desk): U.S. President Donald Trump sharply criticized Democratic Congress members Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib during his State of the Union address, saying they “should go back to where they came from.”
Trump was defending his administration’s immigration policies and crackdown measures when Omar and Tlaib protested, chanting, “You have killed Americans.” Later, Trump called both lawmakers “corrupt politicians” on his social media platform Truth Social, condemning their behavior as inappropriate and harmful to the country.
In response, Ilhan Omar posted on social media that she was reminding the President that his administration’s policies had led to the deaths of constituents in her two districts.
