Ahmedabad (Sports Desk): A new record for sixes has been set in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2026 in India and Sri Lanka. So far in the tournament, players have hit a total of 541 sixes, the highest ever in a single edition.
Previously, the record stood at 517 sixes in 2024, 405 in 2021, 331 in 2022, and 314 in the 2016 edition held in Indian stadiums.
With the Super 8 stage still underway, followed by the semifinals and final, the number of sixes is expected to rise further. This new record has significantly boosted excitement and interest among cricket fans.
