Washington (Monitoring Desk): Saudi Arabia’s embassy spokesperson Fahad Nazer has denied a report by the Washington Post claiming that Saudi Arabia pressured US President Donald Trump to initiate a war against Iran.
On X, Nazer stated that Saudi Arabia has always supported resolving issues with Iran through diplomatic efforts and did not exert any pressure on the Trump administration. The Washington Post report also claimed that Israel and Saudi Arabia lobbied for weeks to attack Iran.
Separately, Saudi Arabia’s largest oil refinery, Saudi Aramco, was hit by a drone attack today, causing a fire and temporary shutdown of operations.
