Karachi (Sports Desk): Pakistan Super League’s new franchise Hyderabad has appointed former Australian fast bowler and ex–Pakistan national team head coach Jason Gillespie as its head coach.
According to sources, negotiations between Jason Gillespie and the PSL’s new Hyderabad franchise regarding the coaching role have been successfully concluded, following which a formal agreement has been signed between the two parties.
Jason Gillespie is regarded as one of Australia’s prominent fast bowlers and also brings extensive coaching experience. He has previously served as head coach of the Pakistan cricket team, giving him strong familiarity with local cricketing conditions and the domestic setup.
Following the establishment of the new PSL franchise Hyderabad, this appointment is being seen as a major step in team preparations. The franchise is expected to benefit significantly from Gillespie’s international experience and coaching expertise as it builds its squad for upcoming seasons.
