PSL 11 Auction: Naseem Shah Most Expensive, Muhammad Owais Zafar Cheapest Player

Lahore (Sports Desk): The player auction for the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) was held today at Lahore Expo Center, where each team selected a squad of 16 to 20 players. Over 800 local and foreign players were registered for the event.

During the auction, Pakistani spinner Naseem Shah emerged as the most expensive player, bought by Rawalpindi for PKR 86.5 million. Similarly, Pakistani all-rounder Fahim Ashraf was acquired by Islamabad United for PKR 85 million.

Among foreign players, New Zealand’s aggressive middle-order batsman Daryl Mitchell was the most expensive, purchased by Rawalpindi for PKR 80.5 million.

On the other hand, the cheapest players included Muhammad Owais Zafar, Lecklan Shaw, Delano Potgieter, and Jahanzeb Sultan, bought by Sialkot Stallions for PKR 6 million, while Peshawar Zalmi acquired Mirza Tahir Baig, Muhammad Naheed Rana, and Khalid Usman also for PKR 6 million.

This auction will be remembered as one of the most exciting and expensive in PSL history, with teams investing heavily to strengthen their squads.
