Karachi (Sports Desk): All franchises except Multan Sultans have announced their retained players for the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
According to details, Multan Sultans—currently under the temporary administrative control of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)—have not retained any players so far. Sources say decisions regarding the team will be made after matters related to the franchise’s ownership are finalized.
All franchises have retained four players, except Islamabad United, who have retained three. The newly added franchises, Sialkot Stallions and the Hyderabad team, are expected to announce their retention lists by February 7.
Defending champions Lahore Qalandars have retained their three-time PSL title-winning captain Shaheen Shah Afridi in the Platinum category. Abdullah Shafique has been retained in the Diamond category, Sikandar Raza in Gold, and Muhammad Naeem in the Silver category.
With the retention lists announced ahead of the PSL 11 draft, fans are now keenly watching other teams’ strategies and the possibility of major decisions during the draft.
