Lahore (Sports Desk): With less than three days remaining until the official start of the T20 World Cup, Pakistan’s continued silence has heightened concerns within the International Cricket Council (ICC).
Sources say ICC officials are awaiting an official written position from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regarding the possible boycott of the match against India. However, no formal communication has so far been received in this regard.
On the other hand, PCB sources maintain that following a clear stance taken by the government, the board does not see the need to issue any additional clarification or written statement at its own level.
PCB sources also recalled that in the past, India did not submit any written document to the ICC Council meeting regarding the lack of government permission to travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy.
