Bangkok (Sports Desk) – In the Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars tournament, Pakistan delivered a strong performance to defeat Nepal and make a victorious start to the event.

In the match played in Bangkok, Nepal won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat first. Pakistan posted 137 runs for the loss of six wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Captain Hafsa Khalid remained unbeaten on 40, while Waheeda Akhtar contributed 23 runs with the bat.

For Nepal, Kabita Kunwar claimed two wickets, while Manisha Upadhayay, Riya Sharma, Sita Rana Magar, and Rubina Chhetri took one wicket each.

In reply, Nepal were restricted to 107 runs for six wickets in their 20 overs. Bindu Rawal top-scored with 39 runs, while Kabita Kunwar remained not out on 18.

For Pakistan, Anosha Nasir picked up three wickets, Momina Riaz took two, and Waheeda Akhtar claimed one wicket, playing a key role in securing the team’s victory.
