Lahore (Sports Desk): After an impressive performance in the T20 World Cup, Pakistani opener Sahibzada Farhan has signaled a warning for Indian star Abhishek Sharma.
Abhishek Sharma’s top position is now under threat, with only a 26-point gap separating the two players. Sahibzada Farhan has climbed to second place with 383 runs, including a century against Sri Lanka at Pallekele.
In the rankings, Sahibzada Farhan has overtaken English batter Phil Salt, who dropped to third place. Indian batters Ishan Kishan and Tilak Verma now occupy fourth and sixth positions, respectively. South Africa’s Dewald Brevis has claimed the eighth spot.
Zimbabwe’s Brian Bennett made a significant jump of six places to reach 11th, while South Africa’s Ryan Rickelton (13) and Aiden Markram (16) also improved their rankings.
