Lahore (Sports Desk): Preparations for the Pakistan cricket team ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 have been temporarily suspended. Sources say that on the instructions of PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, all preparations for the global tournament starting February 7 have been put on hold.
The PCB has also requested alternative plans from the team management to ensure a swift response in any situation. Additionally, Pakistan has fully supported Bangladesh’s decision to exclude India from its T20 World Cup matches, citing security concerns.
The PCB emphasized that the decision not to play in India is reasonable and justified. However, if the issue in Bangladesh is not resolved, Pakistan will reconsider its participation in the World Cup.
