Netanyahu Expresses Solidarity with Iranian Protesters

Tel Aviv (Monitoring Desk): Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has once again issued a provocative statement toward Tehran as protests against rising prices in Iran enter their second week. Netanyahu said that Israel stands with the Iranian people and supports their struggle for freedom, justice, and a better future.

According to news agencies, during his weekly cabinet meeting, Netanyahu remarked that the Iranian people may now be at a stage of taking their destiny into their own hands. He emphasized that Israel fully expresses solidarity with the aspirations of the Iranian population.

Human rights organizations report that during the first week of protests, clashes between security forces and demonstrators have killed at least 16 people, with hundreds arrested. However, official sources and human rights groups provide differing numbers, making independent verification difficult.
