Islamabad (Sports Desk): After qualifying for the 2026 Hockey World Cup, the national hockey team has returned home and received a warm welcome at Islamabad Airport.
Federal Parliamentary Secretary Kiran Dar was present at the airport to greet the players. Officials from the Pakistan Hockey Federation and the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination also accompanied him.
Upon arrival, the players were garlanded and showered with flower petals.
Pakistan secured its spot in the Hockey World Cup after defeating Japan in the semifinals of the Hockey World Cup Qualifier, marking the nation’s return to the tournament after eight years.
The 2026 Hockey World Cup will be held in Netherlands and Belgium, where the national team will showcase its skills on the global stage.
