Multan Sultans Auction: Major Success for PCB

Lahore (Sports Desk): A significant development has emerged regarding the auction of the renowned Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise, Multan Sultans. According to sources, following differences between former owner Ali Tareen and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), it was initially decided that the team would be operated under the board’s management for the current season.

However, after the successful auction of two new teams added to the league, PCB members strongly advocated for the sale of Multan Sultans. Subsequently, the PCB Chairman approved the auction of the franchise.

In this regard, the Pakistan Cricket Board invited expressions of interest from prospective investors and organizations until February 2. By the deadline, the PCB received a total of six offers.

After completing the technical evaluation of the submitted bids, five parties have officially been declared eligible to participate in the bidding process. The remaining stages of the Multan Sultans auction are expected to be completed soon.
