Mohammad Nabi Faces ICC Action for Code of Conduct Breach in South Africa Match

Kabul (Sports Desk): Afghanistan’s experienced all-rounder Mohammad Nabi has been fined by the ICC for violating the Code of Conduct.

Details reveal that Nabi committed a Level One breach during Afghanistan’s match against South Africa, resulting in a 15% deduction from his match fee. The ICC stated that the violation falls under Article 2.4 of the Code of Conduct, which pertains to players or player support personnel not following umpire instructions during an international match.

The incident occurred at the start of Afghanistan’s 14th over, when Nabi argued with the umpire regarding the band tied on South African fast bowler Lungi Ngidi’s wrist.

Following the action, the ICC emphasized that all players must strictly adhere to the Code of Conduct in international matches, warning that failure to comply could result in fines or further disciplinary measures.
