Mumbai (Monitoring Desk): Reports from India reveal that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government has engaged a U.S. lobbying firm to influence former U.S. President Donald Trump and the White House. The firm’s activities include monitoring and flagging content on social media platforms.
According to sources, the Modi administration has been using the services of SHW Partners LLC since April 2025, paying approximately $1.8 million annually, which translates to around $150,000 per month.
Critics argue that the move comes at a time when Prime Minister Modi has largely avoided formal press conferences or open dialogues over the past eleven years. They further claim that unilateral communication strategies and a lack of diplomatic engagement have resulted in financial and reputational costs for India.
