Israeli Attacks Render Gaza Ceasefire Meaningless: Hamas

Gaza (Monitoring Desk): Hamas has stated that the ongoing Israeli attacks have rendered the current ceasefire in Gaza meaningless. The group claimed that peace efforts by third-party mediators are being ignored by Israel, and Israeli operations continue across Gaza. Hamas has called on the United States and other mediating countries to prevent Israel from violating the ceasefire.

Earlier, US media reported that invitations had been sent for a scheduled meeting in Washington. The meeting will be hosted by US President Donald Trump, board members, and members of the Gaza Executive Committee. President Trump serves as the chairman of the Gaza Board of Peace.

Several key European countries, including the United Kingdom, France, and Norway, have refused to participate in the board, describing it as equivalent to challenging the United Nations’ authority. The stated purpose of the Board of Peace is to disarm Hamas and promote the reconstruction of Gaza.

Although the agenda of the meeting has not yet been released, US media reports indicate that the Gaza Board was established to implement the second phase of President Trump’s pre-Gaza deal.
