Iran Warns of Halting Oil Transit Through Strait of Hormuz, U.S. Navy on Alert

Tehran (Monitoring Desk): Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned that it could stop oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz, declaring that “not a single drop of oil will pass.”

According to the IRGC, if the U.S. or its allies increase pressure in the region, Iran may take severe measures, including closing the strait. Iranian officials noted that, so far, they have not displayed the full extent of their missile and drone capabilities at sea.

Meanwhile, U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright stated that the U.S. Navy will soon provide security for commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz to ensure that global trade remains uninterrupted.
