Tehran (Monitoring Desk): Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that countries expelling US and Israeli ambassadors will be granted full freedom to use the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the statement, such countries will now be authorized to pass freely through the strait. The IRGC spokesperson dismissed statements by US President Donald Trump as meaningless, asserting that Iran will decide when any conflict ends. He added that security in the region will either be ensured for all or for none, warning that if attacks on Iran continue, not a single liter of oil will be allowed to leave the region.
Meanwhile, President Trump, speaking at a Republican conference, stated that the US Navy would protect ships in the Strait of Hormuz if necessary. He had previously mentioned that US naval forces could be deployed alongside commercial vessels in the strait if circumstances demanded. Following Trump’s comments, the IRGC challenged the US, saying that if they dare, they should deploy naval ships to protect oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz.
