Iran Alleges U.S. Sunk Warship IRIS Dena, Warns of Consequences

Tehran (Monitoring Desk): Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has accused the United States of sinking the Iranian naval warship IRIS Dena, calling it a “grave injustice” at sea and warning that the U.S. will face the consequences.

In a statement on the social media platform X, Araghchi said the U.S. action occurred in international waters approximately 2,000 miles from Iran’s coast. He noted that the Iranian frigate Dena was at the time a guest of the Indian Navy, carrying around 130 sailors, and that the U.S. attack was carried out without any prior warning.
