Ahmedabad (Sports Desk): Due to the T20 World Cup 2026 final between India and New Zealand, hotel and flight prices in Ahmedabad have skyrocketed.
According to media reports, hotel room rates in the city have increased by 300 to 400 percent. Rooms that were previously booked for ₹5,000 to ₹20,000 are now being priced between ₹15,000 and ₹50,000 due to the final.
Residents and cricket fans are also facing a significant rise in flight costs. Tickets from Mumbai to Ahmedabad, which were generally available for ₹3,000 to ₹4,000, have now jumped to ₹15,000 to ₹17,000.
Experts say that price hikes for accommodation and travel during major sporting events are normal, but the current surge has posed a serious challenge for consumers.
