Azerbaijan (Monitoring Desk):Following international exposure of alleged atrocities in India, the Modi government is reportedly facing renewed “Pakistan phobia.”
A first-ever global conference on Indian atrocities against minorities was held in Azerbaijan, where participants expressed serious concern over India’s oppressive policies. According to global news outlet Azer Tech News, the conference signals a clear move to place India’s alleged brutality on the international human rights agenda.
Topics discussed included the 1984 riots, in which 8,000 to 17,000 Sikhs were killed, over 50,000 Sikhs were displaced, and numerous forced disappearances and extrajudicial killings in the 1980s.
The conference highlighted Pakistan’s balanced foreign policy and drew attention to India’s actions, creating confusion among pro-India media. Following the event, some fabricated allegations were reportedly made in response.
