Occupied Jerusalem (Monitoring Desk): Ami Dror, former head of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s security team, has made several startling claims about the Netanyahu family during a podcast, sparking fresh debate in Israeli political circles.
According to Ami Dror, Netanyahu’s son Yair Netanyahu allegedly physically attacked his father on one occasion, an incident that became so severe that security personnel had to intervene. The former security chief claimed that following this incident, Yair Netanyahu was moved to the US city of Miami.
During the podcast, Ami Dror also raised questions about Benjamin Netanyahu’s personal conduct. He alleged that Netanyahu would at times avoid paying bills at restaurants, leaving the expenses to be covered by staff or security personnel. He further claimed that there were instances in which government or hotel property reportedly went missing in connection with Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife, Sara Netanyahu.
Ami Dror stated that in recent years, Sara Netanyahu has become increasingly influential in family decision-making. He alleged that she played a role in preventing Benjamin Netanyahu from reaching a judicial settlement so that he could remain in a position of power, as she views their son Yair as a potential political successor.
The former security chief also claimed that Benjamin Netanyahu would sometimes lock himself in a room to avoid the anger of his wife and son.
In the podcast, Ami Dror expressed the view that Benjamin Netanyahu should be brought before the courts. According to him, the Israeli prime minister faces allegations of obstructing certain decisions for political interests and influencing legal proceedings by accepting gifts.
