Ankara (Monitoring Desk): Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that he had clearly informed U.S. President Donald Trump via telephone that Venezuela should not be pushed toward instability following any attempts to remove President Nicolás Maduro.
Speaking to the media after a cabinet meeting, President Erdogan emphasized that Turkey stands with the people of Venezuela and will continue to support them during the current situation.
He added that in the past, Maduro and the Venezuelan people have demonstrated friendship toward the Turkish nation. Erdogan also warned that violations of national sovereignty and international law could create serious global challenges.
