Islamabad (Showbiz Desk): Dr. Fazila Abbasi, sister of well-known actor Hamza Abbasi, has approached the Islamabad High Court to seek protection from arrest.
The Islamabad High Court registrar’s office has scheduled the hearing for her case tomorrow, which will be presided over by Justice Azam Khan. The trial court had previously canceled her bail due to non-appearance.
Dr. Fazila Abbasi is wanted in a multi-billion rupee money laundering case under investigation by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). The FIA has registered a case against her, alleging that approximately 25 billion rupees were transacted through her 22 bank accounts, while her declared annual income was only 400,000 to 600,000 rupees.
